Ablauf der Zahnwurzelbehandlung

Bei einer Zahnwurzelbehandlung wird das erkrankte oder abgestorbene Gewebe aus den Zahnwurzelkanälen entfernt, der nun entstandene Hohlraum wird durch mehrere Spülungen desinfiziert und mit maschinellen Feilen gründlich gereinigt und aufbereitet. Die Länge der Wurzelkanäle lässt sich mit Hilfe einer elektrischen Widerstandsmessung bestimmen. Ist der Zahn beschwerdefrei werden die Wurzelkanäle mit einer bakteriendichten Wurzelfüllung verschlossen.

Abhängig von der individuellen Ausgangslage, der Anzahl und Beschaffenheit der Wurzelkanäle, kann sich eine Wurzelbehandlung über mehrere Sitzungen ausdehnen.
